Who swims and who guards
Creek Bestiary
Every creature on the board has a job. Learn who pushes upstream, who holds the bank, and what each of them is worth.
Invaders
-
Pike
Quick and slim, pike lead every wave. They are easy to stop alone but dangerous in numbers.
Stopping one pays 6 shells and 10 points.
-
Catfish
Slow, heavy and stubborn. Catfish join from wave three and take almost three times as many hits as a pike.
Stopping one pays 12 shells and 25 points.
Defenders
-
Heron
A patient hunter with long reach. One heavy strike at the fish closest to the nest.
Costs 50 shells. Best single-target damage.
-
Net
Strung across the shallows, the net slows every fish in range and nips at them as they pass.
Costs 40 shells. Slows everything nearby.
-
Otter
Dives into a group and splashes everything around the target at once.
Costs 70 shells. Area damage for crowds.
The bass nest
-
The reason for it all. Each invader that reaches the nest costs one heart; lose them all and the round is over.
Starts with 10 hearts. Every heart left at the end adds a bonus.

Upgrades
Any defender can be raised twice. Each level adds range and strength, so a few well-kept defenders often beat a crowded bank.
